1940's blush satin bed jackets were popular for a number of reasons. They were comfortable and flattering, and they helped to keep women warm during the night. Bed jackets were also considered to be very stylish, and they were often worn as a way to add a touch of glamour to a woman's bedtime routine.
Our bed jacket has a jabot tie at the neck and a hook and eye closure. Buttons are made of mother of pearl oyster shells. Hem of jacket has an elasticized casing.
