In the 1970s, men's fashion saw a rise in the popularity of bold and colorful printed shirts. Polyester was a popular fabric choice for these shirts, as it was inexpensive and easy to care for. Polyester shirts were often brightly colored and featured geometric or floral prints. They were often worn with flared trousers and platform shoes.
